The United Nations (国連 Kokuren)(UN for short) was an intergovernmental organization, formed after World War II to promote international co-operation. Its collapse in the early half of the 21st century is said to be what led to the current state of the world in Heavy Object.
History
For reasons not yet fully explained, the United Nations collapsed in the early half of the 21st century. The result of the shattering left the world map in a state that a satirical journalist once likened to stained glass. The shattered pieces continued in various directions with some eventually reformed into several different alliances and leading to the rise of the current four world powers; the Legitimacy Kingdom, the Information Alliance, the Capitalist Corporations and the Faith Organization.[1]
