AdaptationEdit

Adapted from: Heavy Object: Global Shadow Chapter 3 Parts 6 - 9

Differences in AdaptationEdit

  • In the novel, Prizewell City Slicker openly says he and his forces are going after the immigrant city. He also claims to have a second batch of Objects nearing completion, and to have come up with a way to efficiently mass-produce Elites.[2]
  • In the novel, the 24th Battalion's soldiers taunt Froleytia and other 37th's members as they pass nearby while following the Indigo Plasma.[2]
  • The novel goes into more detail to Quenser's analysis of the naval floats left by the additional "Objects". The car nearby is also destroyed by the Battlefield Cleanup Service before he and Heivia can make a run for it.[3]
  • In the novel, Quenser doesn't have the diamond box shot out of his hands. Instead, he throws it into Wydine's face, earning him a punch from her before she and her subordinates realize the contents of the box.[3]
  • In the novel, Heivia wonders why they didn't hire the PMC with the valuable Hand Axe, but Quenser reveals that the value mainly resides in the catalyst used to make it, and the completed explosive is not worth that much. They also go into more detail about how they can't repeat the same trick they used against the Rush's AI this time due to the different circumstances.[4]
  • In the novel, the narration gives a little more information about Ayami's backstory and how she and her family left Japan. Additionally, there's more detail to her discussion with her daughter and when they pick up her son-in-law; plus the city starts going into a panic when they are going to pick up Orihime, including people carrying guns and apparently someone starting fires.[5]
